Our story began in Lahore, where our family laid the foundation of a legacy steeped in tea.
After Partition in 1949,
Lala Shankar Das Kapoor transformed the business by
moving from loose tea to packaged, branded blends.
His son, Harbanslal Kapoor,
took Indian tea to global markets, opening doors to the Middle East.
By the 1950s, we opened our first store at Bazaar Gate in Fort, Mumbai.
Ajay Kapoor, leading the third generation, continued to build on this journey
and introduced Indian tea to Afghanistan.
Today, the fourth generation, Shivali and Advait Kapoor continue the legacy through Teapoy bringing to you the purest Assamese Chai that has stood the test of time.
